A Family Affair
The planning for your celebration of marriage might attract input from family members and friends. While well intended, it is the bride and groom whom have supreme authority when making decisions that are critical to ensuring that their wedding experience reflects their personalities and dreams.
However, you may count on those closest to you, to participate as the Best Man, Maid/Matron of Honor, or a Groomsman or Bridesmaid. An aunt or uncle could be asked to read a scripture passage...a friend may wish to sing a solo. And do not forget children, who are adorable as flower girls or ring bearers.
Two Families United
The "field of dreams" was vibrant and real with the wedding ceremony crafted by our officiant, Steven. We were married  on  the 1st base line, at our favorite, neighborhood ball park, joined by our children from previous marriages. Following the exchange of vows, we participated in a "sand ceremony". We poured colored grains of sand into a glass vase blending each member of our family to form a one-of-a-kind piece of art.  Truly a treasured keepsake and enduring reminder of the day separate families Became One.
Exquisite Beginning!
Pastor Steven was masterful in managing a Covid-era wedding ceremony. Our wedding party descended the grand staircase from the 2nd floor mezzanine to set the stage for our elegant wedding. The fairy tale event was punctuated by a commemoration of love letters written to each other during our courtship. Very classy and sophisticated...long to be remembered.

Trust me to inform you of options that can be structured within the service content. You may wish to consider the intimate moment as you light a Unity Candle having exchanged your wedding vows.
Or you might include a Sand Ceremony where the children of the Bride and Groom are symbolically integrated with fellow members of the united family, by pouring colored sand into a keepsake, glass vessel.
